About Us

Russ is a lifelong resident of Presho, SD.  He has farmed the family farm for over 50 years and has since developed a habitat enriched farm capable of hosting an All Wild population of pheasants for his clients.  Russ has hunted this farm since childhood and can identify each and every nook and cranny that a pheasant could hide. 

As the typical small town america resident, Russ compliments the atmosphere of the Pheasant Camp and the town of Presho's moto of "When you're here, you're family." He always has a smile on his face and is willing to help you enjoy your stay in the Presho area in any way he can.

Greg retired from the US  Army Corps of Engineers and joined forces with Russ in 2003 to develop the SODAK Pheasant Camp on the family farm.  Greg possesses over 50 years of pheasant hunting knowledge, a love for bird hunting that is second to none, and trains top hunting retrievers.  Greg has lived and hunted throughout the US and Germany.

Greg has a keen sense of Corporate America and can provide the atmosphere you need to host your next corporate outing.  Like Russ, he always wears a smile and stands ready to host your next hunt.

Together Russ and Greg provide an atmosphere that exemplifies pheasant hunting as they remember it in their early days.  They are united in their steadfast belief that only wild birds will be the prey at SODAK and that in no way will they vary from that promise.  Pheasant hunting, to them, is a way of life and they are eager to share their knowledge and love for the sport with you.
